潔凈室要獲得良好的潔凈效果，不僅要著重采取合理的空調凈化措施，而且也要求工藝、建筑及其他專業采取相應的措施：不但要有合理的設計，而且還要精心的符合規范的施工安裝，以及正確的使用潔凈室和科學的維護管理。為使潔凈室獲得良好的效果，國內外已有不少文獻從不同的角度作過闡述。

　　潔凈室的氣流組織與一般空調房間有所不同，它要求將干凈的空氣首先送到操作部位，它的作用在于限制和減少對加工物的污染。為此，在設計氣流組織時應考慮這些原則:盡量減少渦流，避免將工作區以外的污染帶入工作區;盡量防止灰塵的二次飛揚以減少灰塵對工件的污染機會;工作區的氣流要盡量均勻，且其風速要滿足工藝和衛生要求，當氣流向回風口流動時要使空氣中的灰塵能有效的帶走。根據不同的潔凈度要求，選擇不同的送、回風方式。
